Children of dreams.

Started 21st April, Finished 26th April.

Now...this particular picture *did* start as a template edit ( it was a Rin and Len one) but if I'd of followed the outlines exactly, it would of looked odd.
However, that would not of been because of the template; it would of been because of my style...due to where I tend to prefer drawing characters looking all small and squatty; my style just isn't made for long legs and anatomically correct-looking bodies, no matter how much I've tried in the past.

So to avoid scrapping the idea in the first place, I erased the other outlines of the template and just drew the rest in; needless to say that I'm pleased with the result.

Here we have Gregory ( as a human child) and Madotsuki standing back-to-back with one another.
This is based on a crossover between GHS and Yume Nikki that I mentioned a while back; and I still like the idea of it even now.

The way I've always seen it, is that Gregory and Madotsuki are dream children ( yes, even Gregory...I'm pretty sure that he was a child at some point as well; he wouldn't of been born an old man!) who both have their own specific worlds, these dream worlds reflect either their state of mind, or how their lives have been as a whole.

It's popular belief that Madotsuki's life was no tea party...and it's well-believed that Gregory's life was ( and still is) far from rose-tinted too.

The only thing that would of been different between them ( aside from species and gender) would of been the fact that Madotsuki was a little girl living in the real world.

Whereas Gregory would be a spirit of dreams, someone who would be able to meet anyone if they managed to cross over into his realm.
Although in his wildest dreams, maybe he'd be able to venture into other people's dreams too.

Of course at the end of the Yume Nikki game; it could be argued that Madotsuki herself became a spirit of dreams...a spirit of her own dreams to be exact, bound to an eternity in a dream world made entirely of her own design; yet it would probably be one that was closed off to others.

And naturally, with their own dream worlds...there comes that certain element of mystery and in some cases, even danger when you wander too far in.
